Phil works as a Painter,Musician/Singer Songwriter, Poet and initiator of mult-idisciplinary and collaborative Creative Arts projects,
He gained a B.A.1st class hons from West Surrey College of Art in 1978, and an M.A. in fine Art from Goldsmiths College in 1983,
Lecturing appointments include
part time lecturer at Foundation and Fine Art Degree level at Universities and Colleges,,
Oxford Brooks University,Reading University, Berkshire College of Art. The Henley College, The Open College of the Art and Cyprus College of Art
Phil was Course leader for Foundation Art at the Henley College Oxon 1991-95
Course Leader for Foundation with imput into undergrad Fellowhip and PostGrad ptogrammes at
The Cyprus College of Art Larnaca 2005- May 2010
.he has now returned to live in Britain
Artist In Residence.
An ongoing part of his practice as an Artist and Musician, has been his involvement with Artist in Residence Schemes within formal and non formal Education/ Community programs.
his projects have received Funding from organizations such a Southern Arts ,Museum of Modern Art Oxford, Television South, British Telecom, Arts into Nature and the National trust and Leonardo fund/Grampus
Projects have taken place in Museums and Galleries,schools theatres,festivals and Nature reserves.Community centres
Phil has shown his Work Internationally in Britain, Germany, U.S.A and Cyprus, and has Paintings in public and private collections including Southern Arts. Reading Museum, Berkshire Education Authority, The Gottlieb Collection.Russel CotesCollection and Karagianni.Collection Cyprus
His work has been reviewed in Arts Monthly, Arts Review, Artists Newsletter,Visual Studies Magazine and Artscribe international.
